Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be handled when you visit MakeSKU, use an account-enabled part of the site, send a contact request, or use its five product-image workflows. In this policy, “MakeSKU” means this website and project.

MakeSKU has two types of capability. Batch Product Photo Editor and Image Editor perform deterministic raster processing in your browser. Lifestyle Scenes, Ad Studio, and Video Studio are server-backed AI workflows that activate only when the deployment has complete provider, callback, storage, database, and workflow configuration. If any required AI setting is missing, those three workspaces fail closed before a provider request or credit charge.

Information You Provide

Depending on the feature you use, the site may handle:

• Account information: email address, display name, login provider, and account settings when account features are enabled and you register or sign in.
• Contact information: your name, email address, subject, message, and context you deliberately include in the contact form.
• Deterministic editor files: product photos selected for browser-side batch or single-image editing. Processing stays in the browser unless you explicitly use a flow that uploads a final output for persistent download.
• AI reference files and instructions: owned product images, prompts, format choices, selected image model, and fixed video specifications submitted to a configured AI workflow.
• Generation records: job status, provider task identifiers, quoted cost, settlement state, stored output location, failure reason, and retry relationship needed to provide history, download, and exactly-once charging.
• Preferences and workspace state: language, theme, selected controls, layout choices, storyboard order, and other interface state needed to show the requested workflow.

Do not submit passwords, API keys, access tokens, full payment-card numbers, sensitive identity documents, or confidential unpublished product material through the contact form.

Product Images, Processing, and Results

Batch Product Photo Editor and Image Editor use browser Canvas processing for resize, position, crop, background composition, and export. Image Editor does not perform automatic background removal; background composition requires an existing transparent subject or cutout mask. Unselected batch images are not modified. PNG export preserves transparency when applicable, while JPG export uses a solid background.

When the AI deployment is fully configured, Lifestyle Scenes and Ad Studio upload an owned reference image to MakeSKU-controlled storage and send the necessary reference and instructions to the configured provider. Video Studio submits an owned reference image and a fixed five-second video specification. Provider callbacks are correlated to the original job, completed outputs are copied to owned R2 storage, and history exposes only owned or proxied output URLs. Provider task URLs are not treated as permanent user downloads.

If AI readiness is incomplete, the AI workspaces show an unavailable state and do not send a provider request or debit credits. Quotes are calculated on the server. A successful generation is charged exactly once through the ledger; failed work follows the same settlement and refund semantics as the production workflow. Retry creates a traceable replacement rather than silently overwriting the failed record.

Information Collected Automatically

Infrastructure needed to deliver and protect the site may receive technical information such as requested page, approximate request time, IP address, browser and device type, session identifiers, and error or security diagnostics. Configured optional browser analytics, support, and third-party referral services follow MakeSKU's regional controls. Visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or with a missing or unknown location result must choose Allow all on the floating consent card before those services load; their direct site choice controls those services without GPC overriding it. For visitors elsewhere, configured optional services are allowed by regional default unless GPC blocks third-party runtime use and outbound sharing, without MakeSKU writing a synthetic consent preference.

MakeSKU records limited first-party server attribution in every region independently of optional-service consent. Marketing first-touch and validated platform-click fields can include a query-free landing path, referrer host, locale, and approved campaign fields. A valid aff or aff_id updates the separate first-party Affiliate track, which is independent of region, consent, and GPC; an existing Affiliate track is not deleted by these controls. The consent card controls optional third-party services and the Marketing browser fallback: in gated locations the fallback is written only after Allow all and cleared by Only essential or withdrawal, while GPC only blocks optional third-party services and outbound sharing in non-gated locations. Eligible attribution may be associated after sign-in or authenticated checkout, and any association failure is fail-open so it never blocks registration or payment.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to deliver the website; remember language, theme, session, or interface preferences; provide account access; perform requested deterministic processing; submit, settle, store, and display configured AI jobs; prevent duplicate charges; provide history and downloads; respond to contact or privacy requests; diagnose errors; maintain security; prevent spam or abuse; understand permitted aggregate product use; attribute an eligible referral; and meet legal obligations.

MakeSKU does not sell product images submitted to its workflows and does not claim to train a model on those files. AI providers process only the inputs needed for a configured generation request under their applicable terms.

Cookies, Browser Storage, and Optional Services

The site may use cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies for essential sessions, security, language, theme, workspace preferences, and transient editor state. When you make an explicit choice, MakeSKU stores Allow all or Only essential as a versioned value in a first-party cookie named optional_services_consent and mirrors it in local storage. Only the current disclosure version is accepted, and the preference cookie lasts up to 180 days. Visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or with a missing or unknown location result must choose Allow all before optional third-party services run; their direct choice decides that gated branch and GPC does not override it. Visitors elsewhere receive the regional default without a synthetic preference, while GPC blocks optional third-party services and outbound sharing. GPC does not overwrite a saved choice or clear first-party Marketing or Affiliate attribution. The Cookie Policy provides more detail.

Service Providers and Disclosure

MakeSKU may rely on configured providers for hosting, authentication, email, database, object storage, security, analytics, payment, support, referral attribution, and AI generation. Each provider may process only the information needed for its role under its own terms and privacy commitments. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, investigate fraud or abuse, protect safety, or establish and defend legal rights.

Retention

Browser-only editor state is generally transient and may disappear after refresh or navigation. First-party Marketing and Affiliate attribution use independent 30-day windows. An explicit denial or withdrawal can clear the Marketing browser fallback, while the Affiliate browser artifact remains independent of region, consent, and GPC; those controls do not delete durable server attribution. Account, contact, security, billing, generation, settlement, diagnostic, attribution, and stored-output records may be retained as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, legal compliance, dispute handling, and site protection. Stored outputs and generation history may remain available until their configured retention period expires or they are deleted under an applicable account or privacy process.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled by the site. AI capability is fail-closed when required configuration is absent; quotes remain server-side; callback signatures and job correlation are validated; and completed provider outputs are moved to owned storage. No website or transmission method is completely secure, so protect your credentials and use only material you are authorized to process.

Your Choices and Rights

Visitors who receive the regional gate can choose Allow all or Only essential on the floating consent card. Gated visitors, and anyone who has made an explicit choice, can use Cookie settings in the shared footer or account sidebar to reopen the same card. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information is available there to every visitor in every region; using it saves the opt-out, stops and clears known optional services, and displays a confirmation. You can also use GPC, clear MakeSKU cookies or site data to remove a saved choice, avoid selecting files, stop an upload before submission, change browser permissions, or stop using the site. Depending on your location and the information involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of processing. Requests may require reasonable identity verification.

Children’s Privacy

MakeSKU is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to online data processing in their location. Do not knowingly provide a child’s personal information through the site.

Changes and Contact
